Organizing sections with labels and colors
Each performer’s label is the letter before their number, like the T in T4. Performers who share a label act as a section. You can give each section its own color so it’s easy to spot on the field.
Color a section
Section titled “Color a section”-
Open the Performers window. In the menu bar, click Performers, then click Performers.
-
Find Edit by label. Under Edit by label, each row is one label, with its Count (how many performers have it), Color, Instrument, and Uniform.
-
Pick a color. In the Color column, click a color swatch for that label. Every performer with that label changes color, and you’ll see a message like Color set for 8 performer(s) across T.
Color several sections at once
Section titled “Color several sections at once”-
Check the labels. In Edit by label, check the box next to each label you want to change. To check every label, use the box at the top of the table.
-
Pick a color. In the bar above the table, click a swatch under Color.
-
Click Apply color. Every performer in those labels changes color. Click Clear selection to uncheck the labels.
Color one performer
Section titled “Color one performer”In the performer list at the bottom of the Performers window, click a swatch in the Color column for that performer.
- Mixed means the performers in that label don’t all have the same color, instrument, or uniform.
- Select a whole section on the field. Double-click a performer to select everyone with the same label. See Selecting performers.
- Set up labels first. To add a section, see Adding performers to a drill document. To change labels or numbers, see Relabeling and renumbering performers. To set what each section plays, see Setting performer instruments.
