Adjusting field settings for outdoor

If you’re writing for an outdoor football field, you can match DrillFlo’s field to the one your ensemble performs on. Here’s how.

  1. Open Field Settings. In the menu bar, click Project, then click Field Settings. The badge in the top corner of the window says Outdoor mode when your drill is set up for an outdoor field.

  2. Check the venue. Under Venue, make sure Floor / venue type is set to Outdoor football. The other choices are indoor floors.

  3. Choose your hash marks. Under Field markings, pick a Hash mark type: High School, High School Perfect, College, or Professional.

  4. Pick a stadium. Under Stadium Venue, choose the stadium you want to see around your field in the 3D view, like High School, College, or Professional.

  5. Choose a performer symbol. Under Performer display, set Performer symbol style to Dot or Letter.

  6. Turn endzones on or off. Under Outdoor-only options, check Enable endzones to show the endzones on your field.

  7. Close the window. Your changes apply right away. Click Close when you’re done.

  • Quick changes without the window. Switch to Pan mode (press 1) and the right panel shows Show endzones and Hash Type. For Professional hash marks, use Field Settings.
  • Hash marks are outdoor only. If your drill is set to an indoor floor, the hash mark setting is turned off.
