Adding page directions

Page directions are short notes for a page, like “Slide left, horns to the box” or “Hold 8, then follow the leader.” Each page has its own directions, and they print on your drill charts.

  1. Go to the page. Click the page in the timeline at the bottom of the editor, or press [ or ] to move between pages.

  2. Switch to Select mode. Click the Select tool in the toolbar on the left, or press 2. The right panel shows the Select options.

  3. Type your directions. Scroll to Page Directions at the bottom of the right panel and type your note. It saves as you type.

  4. Repeat for other pages. Move to the next page and add its directions. When you come back to a page, its directions show up in the box.

When you print your drill (Project > Print), each chart shows the page’s directions at the bottom left, under the move counts and tempo, like:

  • Move 8 counts
  • Tempo 120 bpm
  • Slide left, horns to the box
  • Keep it short. Directions are one line, so they fit on the printed chart.
  • Shortcuts pause while you type. Keyboard shortcuts like [ and ] don’t work while your cursor is in the box. Click the field to use them again.
